INSTANT COMPOST: Develop a relationship with your local barrista. Used coffee grounds are a concentrated, nutritious soil amendment, with trace elements from all over the world! They can be applied straight from the coffee shop (or your kitchen) without any "processing".

To April Thompson: Consider vermicomposting with red worms. This can be done in a plastic bin under your kitchen sink.

I am a NW DC resident living in a condo bldg with some residents who would like to collect food scraps for composting if we can find a drop-off location since we have no space of our own to do composting. Ideas & leads appreciated!

My Name is Danny and I am the director of the Local Farm community outreach program for the Raw Spirit Festival. We have a festival coming up August 29th and 30th in Upper Marlboro Maryland and we are going to have a ton of Compost!!! I want to donate it to a community program. I am having a lot of trouble getting any farms on board with the festival. I am a part of a community urban farming collective called the Prescott Food Revolution. Website: prescottfoodrevolution.org. If someone could contact me with anyone that would be worth getting a hold of that might be interested in working with the festival to recieve a couple of tons of compost, I would really love to get high quality organic vegetable kitchen waste to people who could use it. Email is danny@rawspirit.com
